Regulations of the Steering Committee of the Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine
Art. 1 Aim
These Regulations govern the operating procedures and define the composition of the Steering Committee of the Degree Course (DC) in Veterinary Medicine.
Art 2. Institution
The DC in Veterinary Medicine establishes a Steering Committee with resolution no. 33 of 06/03/2019.
Art 3. Composition
The Steering Committee is composed of the following figures: the President and the Vice-President of the DC, the Coordinator of the EAEVE Commission, the Coordinator of the Professional Practical Training Commission, 2 students chosen from among the student representatives in the DC Council and at least four professionals who carry out their activities in the sectors related to the professional profiles that the DC intends to train.
Art 4. Functions
4.1 The Steering Committee of the DC has the following functions:
- to verify the adequacy of the outgoing profiles for the needs expressed by society, the world of work and scientific and technological research;
- to examine the training course of the DC;
- to provide advice and proposals for a continuous improvement of the educational path offered to students, taking into consideration the needs of the labour market;
- to define and review pre-professional training activities, keeping them updated to the job prospects of recent graduates;
- to explore new job areas for graduates of the DC;
- to monitor postgraduate careers.
4.2 The results of the activity carried out by the Steering Committee of the DC must be brought to the attention of the relevant Bodies (Review Group, DC Council, Department Council).
Art. 5 Activities
5.1 The Steering Committee of the DC meets at least once a year.
5.2 The meetings of the Steering Committee of the DC are called by the President of the DC, who also establishes the agenda, at least five days before the scheduled date, and are held according to the normal rules that generally apply to Collegiate Bodies. All meetings of the Steering Committee of the DC must be regularly minuted. The minutes and documents produced must be appropriately stored and made available to the Department, so that each Body can, within its respective competence, consider the indications, observations and recommendations contained therein.
Art. 6 Approval of the Regulations
6.1 These Regulations are approved by the DC Council. Any changes require approval and resolution by the DC Council.
