Vet Experiences

Vet-Experiences are laboratory and orientation activities organized by the Department of Veterinary Sciences as part of the OrientaVET project, which is included in the Orientation and Tutoring Project (POT) involving all Veterinary Medicine degree programs (LM-42) at the national level.

On May 26, 2026, at the San Piero a Grado Veterinary Teaching Hospital, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine will be presented through two workshops: Phantom and Multimedia Activities for Equine Medicine and Resist… or Maybe It’s Better Not! (15 places available).

To participate, you must book by filling out a form.

The workshops will be preceded by orientation sessions introducing the degree program and the Department’s main areas of activity, which will also be held remotely.
More information and registration procedures are available in the attached information brochure.

Laboratory teaching is a way of learning that allows students to gain knowledge and skills directly in the context of their use, unlike traditional teaching, where content is presented in an abstract way, separate from practice.

POT OrientaVET Project – 2025

The Department of Veterinary Sciences runs the POT OrientaVET Project for high school students who want to join the Veterinary Medicine Degree Program.

The project aims to strengthen orientation activities, both to give a better understanding of the Degree Program and to help students with their applications for the single semester of the Veterinary Medicine Degree Program. The project also includes tutoring activities for first-year students to help them settle into university life.

For information or specific requests, please contact potmv.orientamento@vet.unipi.it.
