Strategic Plan The Departmental Strategic Plan (PSD) was developed through a participatory process that involved the entire DSV community on several occasions. The strategic objectives defined by the DSV are linked to the key areas (teaching, research, third mission, management, community, and quality) indicated in the University Strategic Plan and adapted according to the DSV’s specific needs. Strategic planning is supported by monitoring and review processes to assess any opportunities for improvement, the need for changes to the PSD, or the resources required for its implementation. The Vision To be an open, local and community-based reference point for veterinary sciences, fostering sustainable relationships between animals, people, and the environment. The Mission The Department of Veterinary Sciences organises, develops, and promotes research, training, and skills development in its fields of expertise, in an ethical, innovative, and transdisciplinary manner, to respond with passion and responsibility to the challenges of sustainability and universal health.
