How can I have exams taken in another degree program recognised? The analysis of the recognition of ECTS credits earned in other degree programmes is quite complex. It is carried out by a dedicated Committee and subsequently discussed and approved by the Degree Programme Council. It should be emphasised that the analysis is performed by the Committee, which evaluates each recognition request on a case-by-case basis. As a general rule for recognising exams from previous academic careers, the usual approach is to compare the number of ECTS credits and their corresponding disciplinary sector (SSD).Credits are recognised if they match. If the number of ECTS credits differs, an integration may be requested, or in the case of an excess, they are included among the elective credits. It is therefore recommended to verify this correspondence by consulting the Academic Regulations History for the relevant enrolment cohorts.
