Working student and parent-student

Working student

The status of working student is governed by Article 27 of the University Academic Regulations.

The application for recognition of the “working student” status, together with a valid form of identification, must be submitted to the Teaching Unit using the appropriate request form, available on the dedicated page in the For Students section, during the following periods of the year:

  • February 1 – March 31
  • September 1 – October 31

Working students are entitled to two special exam sessions each academic year and are given the opportunity to take advantage of exemptions for their final internship.

Working students who need to provide their employer with a certificate of the academic activities completed may use the appropriate form, available on the dedicated page.

Veterinary Medicine

The single-cycle Master’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine requires compulsory attendance. However, with resolution 7/2013, the Degree Course decided to grant concessions on the attendance requirement to working students who have a monthly commitment of at least 60 hours, reducing the compulsory attendance to:

  • 30% for frontal lessons;
  • 70% for practical lessons.

Parent-student

Students who are parents of children under the age of eight are entitled to two special exam sessions per academic year and are given the opportunity to take advantage of exemptions for practical internships.
