Graduating TAAEC To be eligible for admission to the final degree examination, students must have earned all the ECTS credits related to the educational activities included in the study plan. In particular, students are required to have obtained the computer science and language credits specified in the Degree Programme Regulations, as well as the credits related to elective courses. They must also have earned the credits assigned to the internship activity. Final paper All information about the application and how to conduct and evaluate the final paper is described in the Final Paper Procedure. The Final Paper is closely linked to the Final Practical Internship and is carried out under the supervision of an Internal Tutor (IT) and an External Tutor (ET). The date of the discussion is set by the Degree Programme in TAAEC. Procedure The request for the designation of the Evaluator, signed by the Internal Tutor (TI), must be submitted to the Teaching Unit together with the application to carry out the Final Internship and the application to start the Final Paper. The Teaching Unit will forward the requests to the Chair of the Internship Committee for formal approval and the official designation of the Evaluator. The student must submit an almost final version of the Final Paper to the Internal Tutor, the External Tutor, and the Evaluator at least twenty days before the scheduled discussion date, to allow time for any revisions and corrections. Then, at least ten days before the final examination, the student is required to submit to the Teaching Unit a copy of the Final Paper, signed in original by the student, the Internal Tutor, and the External Tutor, along with four copies of the summary. Key Deadlines Submission of the Final Paper discussion request to the University Student Office: at least 30 days before the Final Examination. Submission of the almost final draft of the Final Paper to the Internal Tutor, External Tutor, and Evaluator for necessary revisions: at least 20 days before the discussion. Submission to the Academic Unit of 1 copy of the Final Paper signed in original by the student, Internal Tutor (TI), and External Tutor (TE), plus 4 copies of the summary: at least 10 days before the Final Examination. Discussion and Evaluation The presentation has a total duration of 20 minutes: 15 minutes for the student to present 5 minutes for the Committee’s questions 5 minutes for the Committee’s questions: Evaluation of the Final Paper and Presentation (up to 8 points): the Committee assigns a score to the Final Paper based on: Relevance to the profession and current significance of the topic Inclusion of statistical data analysis or completeness of the bibliographic review Final Internship duration of more than 3 ECTS Evaluation of the internship work by the Internal Tutor (TI), External Tutor (TE), and Evaluator (VA) Quality of the presentation and communication skills Base grade: derived from the weighted average of the exams, expressed out of 110. Final grade: the sum of the scores from the two previous phases. A minimum of 66/110 is required to pass, while the maximum grade is 110/110 (cum laude may be awarded unanimously by the Committee).
