UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 Certification

The Department of Veterinary Sciences is certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 by the certification body CERTIQUALITY:

  1. for the management of blood donations and preparation of blood components in dogs and cats by the Veterinary Transfusion Medicine Service;
  2. for the management of necroscopic diagnostic activities and corpse treatment by the Necroscopic Diagnostics and Pathological Anatomy service;
  3. for the management of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment by the Hemodialysis and Blood Purification service;
  4. for the management of the inventory warehouse of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital;
  5. for the management of medications by the Pharmacy service of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital;
  6. for third-party analyses of the following laboratory services:
    • Genetic Biotechnology
    • Histopathological Diagnostics
    • Pharmacology and Toxicology
    • Veterinary Clinical Pathology
    • Equine Semen Production

The Quality Certification represents a tool for the Department to ensure ever-higher quality standards and pursue objectives such as customer satisfaction, continuous improvement of the services offered, staff involvement, and managerial improvement.

November 10, 2025 – Third-party audit communication

Please be informed that on December 15 and 16, 2025, a third-party audit will be conducted by Certiquality Srl for the renewal of the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 Certification for the following services: Genetic Biotechnology, Histopathological Diagnostics, Hemodialysis and Blood Purification, Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Inventory Warehouse of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Large Animal Medicine, Veterinary Transfusion Medicine, Veterinary Clinical Pathology, Equine Semen Production, and for the extension to the Necroscopic Diagnostics and Pathological Anatomy service.
The audit will be conducted by Eng. Giovanni Fanucchi.
