Post-graduation STPA LM-86 Graduates of the Master’s Degree in Animal Production Science and Technology (STPA LM-86, old curriculum) can continue their education through second-level Master’s programmes. Recent graduates may undertake a non-curricular internship, a training period to be completed at a public or private institution, aimed at gaining direct experience of the world of work. This programme is managed at the University level and provides additional support services for professional integration. The Career Service is the University office that assists both current students and recent graduates in navigating their professional paths. Through workshops, consultations, events with companies, and online portals for job and opportunity searches, it provides support for taking the first steps into the world of work. For career guidance purposes, the Degree Programme organises specific professional development Seminars and career orientation Seminars. Graduates of the Master’s Degree in Animal Production Science and Technology can join the professional association: Italian Federation of Animal Production Science Graduates (FIDSPA). What is FIDSPA? The Association, a non-profit organisation, works to protect and enhance the role of the Animal Production Science Graduate, promoting their cultural, professional, and institutional development: It supports collaboration between professionals and local organisations, promoting the culture and recognition of the profession in all institutional settings; It promotes ongoing training and professional development through events, conferences, seminars, and courses; It facilitates members’ access to, and entry into, the labour market; It develops and disseminates scientific and technical information, as well as operational protocols, to support organisational and managerial skills; It protects and represents the profession in its relations with institutions and relevant bodies. The degree also allows graduates to take the State Examination for professional qualification as an Agronomist, through the Order of Agronomists. Who is the Agronomist? The Agronomist and Forester is a professional who operates in the agricultural, environmental, construction, economic-appraisal, urban planning, and territorial sectors, with technical, design, managerial, analytical, and expert appraisal skills: Protection, management, and enhancement of the environment and natural resources through conservation activities, ecological planning, and environmental impact assessment; Consultancy and management of agricultural, livestock, and forestry enterprises, with expertise in production, processing, marketing, and agri-forestry mechanisation; Design, supervision, and testing of rural, hydraulic, and forestry works, as well as cadastral, topographic, and cartographic activities; Appraisal and expert assessment activities, including valuations, economic assessments, technical consultancy, and contractual advice within their areas of expertise; Territorial, urban, and landscape planning, with particular reference to public and private green spaces, parks, and urban–rural relationships; Environmental and agri-industrial analysis and monitoring, including physicochemical and microbiological analyses and quality control of production; Land improvement and reclamation interventions, including drainage, irrigation, soil protection and conservation, and management of water resources.
