Qualification through State Examination

Graduates in Veterinary Medicine, in order to practice the profession, must obtain qualification through the State Examination, according to the procedures and guidelines published on the University website.
The examinations are held in person in July (summer session) and November (autumn session), before a Board appointed by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), following a schedule prepared by the Department of Veterinary Sciences.

Attendance by non-registered auditors is allowed; however, any form of audio or video recording of the exams is strictly prohibited.

Postgraduate opportunities

After graduation, it is possible to undertake a non-curricular internship in Italy or abroad to gain direct work experience. The internship is managed at the University level, which provides dedicated support services. Graduates can also participate in the post-graduate Erasmus program.

Graduates in Veterinary Medicine can enrol in Specialisation Schools, aimed at acquiring specific knowledge and skills for professional practice. The Department of Veterinary Sciences offers several Specialisation Schools and a PhD program. The Department’s post-graduate training is also complemented by Master’s programs.

The Career Service is the University office that supports current students and recent graduates in planning their professional paths.
