Internship STPA The internship allows students to take part in practical activities at University facilities or at public and private institutions affiliated with the Department of Veterinary Sciences. It is designed to complete the student’s theoretical, practical, and professional training. The list of companies affiliated for internships is available. To carry out the internship activity at facilities not affiliated with the Department, it is necessary to follow the procedure for establishing a new agreement, which can be found on the dedicated page. In the STPA Degree Program, as provided for by the Study Program Regulations, it is possible to carry out the optional practical internship, which can have a minimum duration of 3 CFU and a maximum of 12 CFU (from 75 to 300 hours).The ECFU earned through the internship are considered elective credits freely chosen by the student. For the completion of the internship, students must follow the TPF Regulations and use the designated forms. For internships carried out as part of ERASMUS+ projects, in addition to this procedure, the procedure indicated in the relevant call published on the University website must be followed. Operating Procedure for Internship This guide does not replace the official regulations, which should be consulted for more detailed information (e.g., deadlines). The duration of the internship can range from a minimum of 75 hours (3 CFU) to a maximum of 300 hours (12 CFU). Before starting the internship, it is mandatory to:◆ hold a certificate regarding workplace health and safety.◆ have contacted the affiliated organisation where the internship is to take place, requesting their availability to host the internship.◆ submit an internship activation request by the following dates: April 5th May 5th June 5th September 20th November 15th December 5th The TPF period cannot begin until at least one month has passed since the application deadline. Please note: the TPF activity must be carried out within a limit of 40 hours per week (maximum 8 hours per day), subject to any lower limits established by regional regulations or by the collective labour agreement (CCNL) applied by the host company. Practical Procedure: Identify the Internal Tutor and agree with him/her on the internship period. Make arrangements with the SCC(s) to carry out the TPF. Print the required internship documentation. Fill out the internship application and submit it to the Teaching Unit along with the safety certificate, and obtain a signed copy to give to the organisation where you will carry out the internship. During the internship, fill out the attendance summary daily and have it signed by the External Tutor. At the end of the internship: Submit the final report to the External Tutor. Fill out the intern’s final report. Submit the signed attendance summary and final report to the Academic Unit.
